As an East Sussex wedding photographer, I’ve written this page from my perspective to explain why Powder Mills is such an amazing wedding venue for your ceremony and celebrations.
The first thing that strikes you about this lakeside wedding venue, as well as being a stunning 18th Century listed country house hotel, is that it feels like a warm, friendly, welcoming home.
Not only that, the setting is absolutely incredible with rolling parkland, lakes, woods and waterfalls in 150 acres where you’ll see wild geese, swans, ducks, kingfishers and herons.
Just imagine getting married at the Lake House, saying your vows surrounded by nature and incredible views, or in the Pavilion suite, just a few steps from the Hotel, with wonderful views across the front lake, swimming pool and gardens!
There’s even the elegant Music Room that provides an informal and relaxed atmosphere with views across the front lawns and lake. So much choice, for all seasons of the year, and all with perfect backdrops for amazing photos.
I can’t emphasise enough how important a great wedding planner is to make your day run smoothly and to ensure that you’re relaxed and have a great time. Of course, a master of ceremonies would be a huge bonus too. Guess what? You get both at this venue!
I love photographing at venues with great professionals in place. It always results in better photos of you and your guests, no worried expressions or looking hot and bothered because the day is running behind schedule!
The hotel caters to weddings of up to 250 guests, with 49 luxury rooms.
